5. Bottom right click on “Start”
6. Select “Continue”
7. Check off “Claim this type”
8. Enter the amount of credits to claim in the empty box displayed
9. Agree to the claiming credit commensurate and submit
10. Top right of the page select “RETURN TO PARENT HOME”
11. Continue these steps with the remaining sessions attended
12. At the bottom of the sessions list select “IAGG Evaluation 2017” to complete the evaluation
13. The evaluation is required to obtain your certificate
14. Click on "Review Course" and select "Download Certificate" to print or electronically save your certificate
Target Audience
Professionals attending the 2016 Annual Scientific Meeting of The Gerontological Society of America include gerontological researchers and practitioners from the biological, clinical (including physicians, physician assistants, nurses, and dentists), behavioral and social sciences (including anthropologists, psychologists, social workers, and sociologists), as well as applied researchers, policy professionals, health care administrators, and economists. Others working in the area of geriatrics will also find the sessions of value and are encouraged to attend.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this initiative, participants will do the following:
- Identify research findings that have implications for their practice in gerontology
- Integrate research from multiple disciplines to improve services for older patients
- Collaborative with colleagues from other disciplines to shape policy, care plans, and advocacy efforts based on the best available evidence.
- Incorporate new evidence into their professional practice
