At the end of this presentation, participants should be better able to:
- Discuss the tobacco epidemic changes of dual vs. sole use of combustible and electronic tobacco products by history and order lab tests for appropriate therapeutic interventions.
- Diagnose EVALI signs and symptoms on presentation in electronic cigarette users and describe those at high risk for serious lung injury.
- Counsel electronic tobacco users about risks and benefits of dual use vs. sole use and how to select NRT or oral meds for treatment.
