  • Define implicit bias, explicit bias, health disparity, healthcare disparity, intersectionality, and explain how these terms relate to the delivery of healthcare.
  • Take steps to identify the role implicit bias may play in their own clinical practice, and use various techniques to improve care to all patients, regardless of their background
  • Explain how explicit bias may affect the care of patients from different cultures and who use different languages.
